Tooling and capabilities

This is a non-exhaustive list of major tooling in the shop. If you don't see what you need below, I likely have access to someone that does - contact me (from the toolbar above) if you have any questions. 

CNC Equipment

    Tormach PCNC 1100 w/ Toolchanger 

    Work Envelope: 18" x 9.5" x 16.5" (X,Y,Z)

    Materials: Unlimited

    Sienci Labs Altmill  

    Work Envelope: 49" x 49" x 5.5" (X,Y,Z)

    Materials: Sheet goods, most materials. Has a ISO20 ATC spindle for automatic operation. 

    Onefinity X-35 Machinist Router, 2.3kW spindle

    Work Envelope: 16" x 16" x 5.25" 

    Materials: Sheet goods, most materials. Small/Detailed work ideal due to high speed spindle.

    Langmuir MR-1 Router

    Work Envelope: 23" x 21.8" x 6.1" 

    Materials: Unlimited. This is a high torque low spindle speed router designed to be stout, for machining metals in a router form factor

    Spark SP1300S CO2 Laser Cutter/Engraver - 130 watts - Large format

    Work Envelope: 1300mm x 900mm (51.1" x 35.4")

    Materials: Wood, Glass, Leather, Various Plastics, Rubber, Silicone, other non-metallic materials.

    MOPA Fiber Galvo Laser - 60watt

    Work Envelope: Open bed

    Materials:  Metals, stone,  plastics. Some caveats due to laser wavelength for certain materials.

    FDM 3D Printing - Pantheon Designs HS3, Prusa i3 MK4S

    Work Envelope: 300 x 300 x 300 max

    Materials: Nylon, CF-Nylon, GF-Nylon, PLA, PETG, CF-PETG, Polycarbonate, ABS, and other specialty filaments.

Manual Machining

    Holbrook Minor Lathe

    Work Envelope: 10" diameter x 20" length

    Materials: Unlimited

    9" x 6" Horizontal/Vertical bandsaw

    Work Envelope: 9" x 6"

    Materials: Unlimited

     2" x 72" Belt Sander

     Horizontal/Vertical

     Typically used for knifemaking and material finishing
